For some, the common ancestor for Brit pop is The Fall, or worse, it's Suede. For the music purist it's Happy Mondays.
But Talk Talk are an extremely underrated band. They must surely be (a kind of strong twig) on the family tree that carried the bough of Oasis, Blur...
The heavy base line in here is hypnotic. But the spell gets broken by the guy who looks like he's doggin' a car park.
Watch the video - and be concerned over the bloke hiding by the tree. He keeps getting caught in car lights. This was before Stan Collymore. This was 1986.
